The MC-1000 is a manual 1-channel photo-optical instrument that offers clotting testing capabilities. The MC-1000 can be used for a wide variety of coagulation and fibrinolysis tests such as: Prothrombin Time (PT), Activated Partial Thromboplastin Time (APTT), Thrombin Time (TT), Fibrinogen (Clauss and derived), Factor Assays, Protein C (PC), Activated Protein C Resistance (APC_R), Protein S (PS), Heparin (HEP), Antithrombin (AT-III ) or D-Dimer.

1.1.          Intended purpose

The MC-1000 is designed to carry out coagulometric tests such as PT, PTT, TT, fibrinogen, single factor tests (for instance, D-dimer etc.).

Use only citrate plasma for test analysis runs: Mix 9 parts venous blood with 1 part 3.2% ( 0.105M) sodium citrate and centrifuge the mixture at 1500g for approx. 10 minutes. Plasma must be used within 4h.
